FAQ

  • YES!

For personal and professional health and safety, I am only taking on clients that are fully vaccinated (with the COVID 19 vaccine+ booster) for the foreseeable future.

I check proof of vaccination at the start of every appointment.

Everyone who is in the studio is expected to wear a KN95 mask/equivalent throughout the entirety of our session. If you are feeling ill at all, please reach out to reschedule!

Please consider your immunocompromised community. Let's keep each other safe!

  • I currently operate on an appointment-only basis.

  • To book FLASH or CUSTOMs, head over to the “Tattoo” tab to get started, there you’ll see all available flash, or if you know what you want you can hit the ‘BOOK’ button and it’ll take you to the form.

Please fill out all the requested info and press the ’Submit’ button.

I will get back to you within 5-10 days to schedule your appointment. Please be prepared to pay a $50 deposit to secure your spot.

*I recommend signing up for the newsletter to keep informed about when books are open or where I am guesting!

  • I offer sliding-scale rates based on trust and anti-capitalist ideals, as a way to keep my work accessible to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it. The price as seen below each flash page sits in the middle of the sliding scale (Tier2).

Prices are determined by assessing the size, placement, and overall detail of the tattoo. (appointment minimum of $170)

When booking, you have the option of choosing which tier you fall under,

refer to the Green Bottle Method for assistance,

Tier 1: (top of the scale to pay for the tattoo and allow others access)

“I am white, I am able to meet all my basic needs, I have little to no debt, I have expendable income, access to savings, etc.”

Tier 2: (middle of the scale, to pay for the tattoo)

"I am white, I am often able to meet my needs, I have some debt, but it doesn’t prevent me from buying a coffee once a week, I have stable housing, etc.”

Tier 3: (bottom of the scale, requesting to be held by community)

“I qualify for public aid, I don’t have expendable income, etc.”

If you are Black/Brown/Indigenous or a POC,

Tier 3 and an option for a FREE tattoo.

If you have any further questions regarding pricing, please feel free to ask. I will do my best to work within your requested budget. Sometimes that means altering the size or design.

  • FLASH is preferred, but I am willing to accept CUSTOMs based on the fit.

I'm more inclined to work with return clients for custom requests.

    Some questions to ask yourself:

Does the artists’ style suit my desired design?

Am I ready to have the artist commit time and energy to drawing my design?

  • Absolutely! Touch-ups are free! I expect all of my tattoos will need a little love at some point after the healing process.

  • If you need to cancel, please give me a week's notice.

When you ask to cancel your appointment, please let me know if you would like to reschedule. If it's within the 7-day window, your deposit will be transferred to that new appointment time/day.

A cancel less than a 7-day notice or no/call no/show, forfeits the deposit. By not giving ample advanced notice, I cannot fill the appointment time and loose anticipated income. This negatively impacts my ability to sustain my practice.

    Your deposit is nonrefundable.

HOW TO COME PREPARED TO THE APPOINTMENt

Pre-tattoo appointment care can enhance your body's healing abilities and lead to a more enjoyable tattoo experience. Follow this guide to ensure you are well-prepared for your tattoo appointment.

1. Moisturize your skin:

  • Days and even weeks leading up to your appointment, apply sunscreen and moisturize daily to avoid dry sunburned skin. (we don't tattoo on sunburns)

2. Get plenty of rest:

  • Ensure a good night's sleep the night before your appointment to keep your body energized and your immune system strong.

3. Stay hydrated:

  • Drink enough water in the days leading up to your appointment and bring a water bottle to the studio to maintain hydration levels during the session.

4. Eat a nutritious meal:

  • Have a balanced meal before your appointment to maintain energy levels and prevent feeling faint or lightheaded during the session.

5. Bring snacks and water:

  • Regardless of the session length, pack snacks and water to satisfy cravings or to hydrate during the appointment.

6. Arrive on time:

  • Please arrive no more than 10 minutes early to ensure timely appointment start and avoid overcrowding in the studio.

7. Carry necessary documents:

  • Bring your State ID and proof of vaccination with you to the appointment.

8. Bring personal entertainment:

  • As tattoo artists may not always be able to engage in conversation, consider bringing headphones, books, or other forms of personal entertainment.

9. Wear comfortable clothing:

  • Choose clothing that is easy to move in and allows access to the tattoo area.

10. Follow studio policies:

  • Do NOT attend the appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs and do NOT come if you are contagiously sick. Masks are mandatory in the studio.

I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU!

This is a suggested guide to follow to help you care for your new tattoo. That being said, YOU know your body best.  I encourage you to feel empowered to adapt these steps to suit your needs!

  1. Leave the clear bandage on between 3-5 days post tattoo. After that time, gently remove it in the shower under luke warm water. *When removing the bandage, it’s helpful to find an edge and pull it gently down and away from your body. (Like a command strip off a wall)

  2. Wash your new tattoo twice a day with antibacterial liquid soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel and apply a light layer of hydrating ointment. (Aquaphor, Vitamin A&D ointment, Hustle Butter etc) Continue this process up to a week after removing the bandage.  *try not to over saturate it, the wound needs to breath.

  3. About a week into the healing process, feel free to transition from Aquaphor, Vitamin A&D ointment, Hustle Butter etc to a fragrance free, gentle lotion. Apply the lotion whenever your tattoo appears or feels dry.

  4. Apply sunscreen to the tattooed area after it is fully healed (around week 5 and 6).

****If you notice any redness developing beneath the bandage, remove it immediately and begin the cleaning regimen. This could be an allergic reaction to the bandage.

DONT'S DURING AFTERCARE

  1. Avoid excessive sweating 2-3 weeks post tattoo appointment, go for low impact movement and rest!!!

  2. Avoid soaking the tattoo in water for at least 6 weeks after receiving the tattoo, no saunas, baths, ocean swims, etc.

  3. No picking or scratching!

  4. Avoid direct sunlight! I know we all miss it, but it is damaging to the new ink! Sunscreen is welcomed after the tattoo is fully healed.

  5. Avoid wearing restrictive clothing on the area of the tattoo for at least a week post appointment.

  6. Avoid using heavy petroleum-based products and fragranced moisturizers.
